Beginner Apparel Sewing Class

Discover the joy of creating your own wardrobe in this fun and beginner-friendly apparel sewing class! Students will learn essential sewing skills while completing a variety of stylish projects. Pattern options are provided for two pairs of pants, two dresses, two skirts, and two aprons, giving students plenty of options to explore different techniques and garment styles.

Fabric requirements will vary depending on student size, with most projects needing 1–3 yards of fabric plus basic notions (elastic, buttons, etc.). Each project includes complete step-by-step instructions and a detailed supply list, so parents will know exactly what to purchase before class.

In addition to making new garments, students will also have the option to upcycle or modify existing clothing to create one-of-a-kind pieces—a creative trend that’s become a favorite among our sewing students!

By the end of the class, students will have built confidence using a sewing machine, reading patterns, and constructing garments they’ll be proud to wear.
